Only use dead baitfish that have already been frozen once. Defrosted baits no longer get „rigor mortis“ and therefore move much more naturally on systems. The wire should always be a finger’s width away from the baitfish.

Always burst the air bubble of dead baitfish before mounting. To improve the action or if the bait rotates, gut the baitfish through the anus using an artery clamp.
